We work with parents to ensure that our children are aware of the benefits and dangers of using the internet in school and at home. E-safety is an important part of our curriculum.
CEOP launched a new Parents website www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents. Parents can access advice and support on how to keep children safe from sexual abuse, both online and off. The website has lots of preventative advice on supporting positive sexual behaviour, using parental controls, seeing inappropriate content online, reporting to social media sites; as well as expert information on challenging harmful sexual attitudes, helping a child with autism negotiate life online; supporting a child who has been sexually abused; and dealing with a range of online issues such as sending nude selfies and viewing pornography. Users will find films, downloadable guides and useful links to support organisations.
